How Does Hypnosis Work

Hypnosis is a state of mind that is enhanced by both by physical and mental relaxation. Entering the state of hypnosis allows the subconscious mind to communicate more effectively with the conscious mind. From a practical standpoint, hypnotherapy is, essentially, a combination of both hypnosis and therapy. In order for hypnosis to be effective, a client must have an open mind and be willing to be receptive to the process.

During the session you will be guided into a state of mental and physical relaxation, often through my words and perhaps suggestions of recalling peaceful and relaxing times in your life.

This is hypnotic trance. In trance you are not asleep, you are relaxed and able to focus clearly. You are also able to communicate and answer questions. The subconscious mind is much more receptive in the hypnotic state, enhancing your ability to get to the root of the issue, absorb new ideas, and interpret information in different ways. This is how hypnosis can help you to quickly shift old patterns and ways of thinking to new fresh perspectives that can enhance your inner potential and allow you to make the changes you seek.
